Permit fishing in Roatán
Roatán is a low pressure area for flat fishing that make it a solid permit fishing ground there is about 10 to 25 miles of permit fishing. Home to some pristine flat turtle grass and white sand bottom deep from 1 feet to 6 feet of water the shallow part of the flat you can fine the permit tailing. From a single fish to school of 6 to 12 fish. But permit and bone is not the only fish that hang out on this flat and around the mangrove there is baby tarpon.
Permit are a game fish that is very exciting to catch with a fly rod. Permit can strip 80 to 120 yard of backing off the reel, on a good day in Roatan we see large amount's of Permit, whether in small groups, singles or pairs.
